Wanted: The Sexiest Bus Route In America

Ok…ok, maybe sexy is pushing it. All Good Magazine and Transportation Alternatives are asking for is the Best Bus Route in America. That could be the sexy, no?

Early morning commute into TC from Leelanau County--oooh, aaah

The two good organizations are asking for people to send in a photo (camera phone) and 140 character caption describing, “why your bus route is the best in America“. I can think of a couple of people who have a good shot of claiming first place…a 30-minute commute is why some of you live out in the sticks, isn’t it? The rolling hills. The wildlife. The sunrise...

It’s wide open in terms of what makes it the best; the esteemed group of jurors will choose the winners. Represent northern Michigan.

My typical bus ride is about 6 minutes long, not a lot of room for “best” to surface, however, what I love about it is the speed conversations with people I don’t know, or the simple act of eavesdropping on conversations. I’ve noticed on BATA that I’m always stepping into an inside conversation, sometimes I’m let in, other times I’m not.

The deadline is Nov. 10 so that gives you one week to find a bus, have an experience, capture it with a photo and write a caption. Homework has never been so easy. Full details at BEST BUS RIDE IN AMERICA.
